Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Shaharyar Alam said on Tuesday that the US’s 2022 country report on human rights practices in Bangladesh has some “fundamental shortcomings and mistakes” and Dhaka will raise them with Washington.
“We will take up these shortcomings with the US side so that next year’s report does not contain such things,” he told reporters at the Ministry of External Affairs here.
The Minister of State said that there will be high-level bilateral meetings between Bangladesh and the US at various levels where Dhaka will discuss the issue.
