Paying utility bill is a nightmare for customers. Standing hour after hour in long queue to pay bill is a normal experience. Dhaka WASA has enabled online bill payment service for its consumers. Consumers of the major cities in Bangladesh will have online payment opportunity under this scheme.
Brand new website, www.dwasa.org.bd is inaugurated for this purpose. Dutch Bangla Bank account holders will be able to pay the WASA bill online from WASA website. Account holders will require Nexus Debit Card, VISA or Master Card to pay bill online. Dutch Bangla Bank online gateway will used in this purpose.
A contract is signed between Dutch Bangla Bank and Dhaka WASA at Pan Pacific Sonargoan Hotel recently. Managing director of Dhaka WASA, engineer Taksim A Khan and managing director of Dutch Bangla Bank, K S Tabrej signed on behalf of their respective organizations.
Minister from science and technology ministry, additional secretary from LGRD and cooperative ministry were present among others on the occasion.
