Jack Sonny, best known as the “second guitarist” in the Mark Knopfler-led British rock group Dire Straits, has died at the age of 68, the band announced.
The group, best known for classic hits like “Sultans of Swing” and “Money for Nothing,” posted the news on social media and their website.
Sonny died Wednesday at the age of 68, the band said, “and he leaves behind a legacy of musical excellence.”
