Sheikh Hasina-led Bangladesh Awami League (AL) formed the government on January 11 after winning for the fourth consecutive time in the 12th parliamentary elections held on January 7.
37 ministers and ministers of state took oath that day. With the new seven members, the number of cabinet members now stands at 44.
Till now, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had the responsibilities of Cabinet Division, Defense Ministry, Armed Forces Division, Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Ministry of Labor and Employment and Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources.
But from now on, he will have Cabinet Division, Defense Ministry, Armed Forces Division and Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources.
