DMP takes special measure on eve of Ramadan

Ramadan is the holy month for the Muslims. According to their faith, praying is much more important in this month than other months of the year. Fasting is also a part of praying. At the end of this month Holy Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated. This is the biggest Muslim festival. So markets and shopping malls are full of customers in this month.

In this month Muslims strictly abstain themselves from those activities which are forbidden in Islam.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police has taken some preparations. They have arrested about three and half thousand criminals and recovered twenty firearms in their dive during last month. They have taken some steps to stop pornography, as it is prohibited in Islam. About four hundred permanent and mobile check posts will work to ensure security; more than one hundred patrol team will be deployed.

Markets and shopping malls remain open seven days in a week during Ramadan. DMP is giving a guideline and some security tips for shop owners. DMP commissioner, Benazir Ahmed has admitted that they have no good news on traffic jam satiation in the city and it is likely to deteriorate in this holy month like every year.
