The third question is, what are the views of the Rohingyas, the most oppressed population there, regarding Rakhine in the future? This is not just about the Rohingya taking refuge in Bangladesh. The Rohingya people and their leaders spread across the world should also be thought about. After all this is the land of their ancestors. They should think of themselves not only as Rohingya, but also as Arakanese. They should think about the possibilities open to them.
There are not many ways ahead for the Rohingyas. There is no point in holding on to history alone, but the Rohingyas should definitely learn lessons from 1940 and 1942. They should look towards the future. At this time when the Arakan people are fighting against the Tatmadaw, the Rohingyas should definitely support them. Silent support is not enough, they have to be given active support. They have no future except to put aside all differences among themselves and stand with the Arakan Army. If they do not stand with the Arakanese people in these difficult times, they will be considered 'Razakars' or collaborators.
