MP and Shadow Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, Conservative Member of Parliament, UK Dr Greg Clark met journalists of Dhaka based newspapers and media in an informal session of discussion over the grim effect of climate change and the activities undertaken to cope with the issue.

The lunchtime discussion was organized by Christian Aid at its Dhaka Office. Head of Asia and Middle East Division, Christian Aid was present along with officials and guests invited on this occasion.

Dr Greg Clark is visiting Bangladesh to see Christian Aid programmed with a special interest on Christian Aid’s work on climate change. The discussion focused on activities that Christian Aid has undertaken to contend the adverse affect on environment and life due to climate change. He exchanged his evaluation and views over Christian Aid’s activities in this regard and put forward his suggestions regarding what more should be done in the future.

Christian Aid (CA) is a development, relief and rehabilitation agency working with 600 partners in over 50 countries around the world. CA is working in Bangladesh since the country’s independence. Livelihood security, climate change adaptation, social inclusion, disaster preparedness and mitigation, and advocacy for policy changes at national and international level are central to CA’s approach.
