The statement of the case said that as per the Labor Law, 2006 and Bangladesh Labor Rules, 2015, the appointment of rural telecom workers and employees was not made permanent despite the completion of their trainee period.
It states that the organization does not grant paid annual leave to employees or workers, does not provide lump sum grants for leave and cash payments in lieu of leave.
The court framed charges against Dr Yunus and three others in the case on June 6, 2023.
Dr. Muhammad Yunus and others filed a petition in the Appellate Division seeking quashing of the trial proceedings in the case.
However, the Appellate Division dismissed the petition last August 20.
