The Namaz-e-Janaza of freedom fighter Dr. Zafarullah Chowdhary, the founder of Gonoshastha Kendra, was organized at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan in the city on Thursday.
The family members of Dr Zafarullah said that he would be buried at the Gnosthasthya Center in Savar on Friday.
The third funeral of Dr. Zafarullah took place at 2:30 pm after a guard of honor was given in the premises of Central Shaheed Minar at 12:30 pm on Thursday. His first and second funerals were held at his Dhanmandi residence and Dhaka Medical College Hospital premises respectively.
People from all walks of life including Professor Serajul Islam Chowdhury, BNP General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Jatiya Party President GM Quader, renowned lawyer M Ameer-ul-Islam attended the funeral at Suhrawardy Udyan.
