He said that Zafrullah had to undergo dialysis due to kidney problems. Now other complications had also arisen. His condition is serious but now stable.
Jarfulla is 81 years old.

“Dr Zafarullah has been suffering from kidney complications for a long time. He has been suffering from complications of old age for the past several days now. He is currently undergoing treatment at the Gonosthasthya Nagar Hospital in Dhanmandi, Dhaka. He is being treated by Brigadier General (Retd) Dr. Mamun Mustafi, Head of the Department of Nephrology at Gonosthastha Samaj Vitik Medical College. Renowned doctors are looking after his treatment. We need everyone’s prayers at this time,” the statement reads.
