The demands of the Council of Editors included:

1. The drafting of laws against free and open journalism must be suspended immediately.

2. Digital Security Act (DSA) has to be abolished. If the government faces any hurdle in scrapping the DSA, they will have to include a section in the Act that reads: This Act shall not apply to media, free journalism and freedom of the press.
