A week-long solo exhibition of driftwood artefacts highlighting Bangladesh’s liberation war, women empowerment and nature began today, Thursday, at Safiuddin Shilpalay in the Dhanmondi area of Dhaka city, a press release said.
The exhibition titled ‘Drifting to the Root, Drifting to Love’ is the first exhibition in the country by an expatriate sculptor, Akhtar Ahmed Rasha, who uses natural materials like twigs, roots and trunks to craft object art.
