Speaking in this regard, Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) executive director Iftekharuzzaman told Prothom Alo, “This reshuffle has been done to ensure fair elections. However, state agencies including the police remain loyal to the ruling party. Therefore, this reshuffle will not have that much impact.”
“The allegation of illegal money transactions against the OC for his stay in Dhaka is not surprising at all. There have always been allegations of illegal money transactions. Probably, it has increased further now,” he said.
