Election Commissioner Brigadier General Mohd Ahsan Habib Khan on Monday said that the Election Commission (EC) is working tirelessly to conduct free, fair and credible municipal elections.
“The Election Commission is very vigilant to conduct free, fair, impartial and credible elections in every election, including the upcoming five municipal elections,” he said at a preparatory meeting with Election Commission officials, local administration, law enforcement agencies. Conference Room of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Office, Khulna as the Chief Guest.
The Election Commission Commissioner asked the officers of the civil administration, magistrates, law enforcement agencies and concerned officials to perform their duties with utmost sincerity, accountability for conducting fair and peaceful city elections.
“We have made all the five cities free of posters and banners with the integrated cooperation of all, including the candidates, to ensure the model code of conduct ahead of the municipal elections,” he said.
