Although educational institutions will reopen, they will have to take some precautionary measures. As part of the preparation, students will refrain from all outside-classroom activities and daily assemblies will be suspended until further notice.
Due to heat wave on 20 April, all schools, colleges, madrassas and technical educational institutions were closed till 28 April. Educational institutions were scheduled to reopen from April 21 after Eid-ul-Fitr and other holidays, but the closure period was extended due to the heat.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has again issued a 'heat alert' this morning. BMD says the change in heat may last for three days.
