EID Festival in Rangpur

Rangpur is known the capital of North Bengal. It is not a rich city but still the people over there is very festive to observe festivals like EID and other occasions.

The second greatest religious festival of the Muslims, Eid-ul-Azha, was celebrated in Rangpur with huge enthusiasm, due religious festivity and solemnity Wednesday as elsewhere in the country.

The district, upazila, police and pourasabah administrations took adequate steps and members of police, Ansar-VDP, elite force RAB and volunteers were deployed to ensure peaceful celebration of the festivity.

The biggest Eid congregation was held at Rangpur Collectorate Eidgah where former president and Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad, senior political leaders, elite of the city, officials and professionals offered their Eid prayers.

Big Eid congregations were held at Rangpur Zila School, Police Lines Ground, Damodarpur Baro Maidan, Nasirabad Ekramia Jam-e-Mosque, Alamnagar Barkotia Khanka Sharif, Robertsonsganj Eidgah, Keramotia Mosque and Medical College Mosque.
