Shops selling a variety of fried fish including lobster, roopchanda, coral, taira, tuna, prawn, crab and hilsa saw a good footfall of tourists.
Mizanur Rahman, a fish trader, said that they sell fried fish every day from 4:00 pm to 1:00 am. Each shop is now selling 40,000 to 50,000 a day.
Meanwhile, some tourists expressed their dissatisfaction over the poor condition of the beach.
Mozammal Haque, a tourist from Dhaka, said, “Kukta is a very beautiful place in our country, but its poor condition disappoints me.” Kuakata beach is getting damaged but the people concerned don’t seem to have any thought in this regard.
