The owners of the launch said that heavy traffic congestion between the Gulistan and Sadarghat areas in Dhaka has resulted in a reduction in the number of passengers. Law enforcement agencies have been deployed in the terminal areas to ensure smooth movement of passengers.
On a spot visit around 12:30 pm, some passengers from southern regions – including Barishal, Bhola, Barguna, Amtali, Bhasan Char, Jhalakathi – were seen waiting at the launch with their families and luggage. They have arrived at the terminal several hours before departure time.
