Railway officials estimate that around 33,500 passengers will travel to different places this Eid. But if they are not able to run on time, how will they be able to meet this target? There should be an investigation as to why these delays occur. If trains do not run on time, private transport owners make a lot of money. In India and other countries of the world, railways are considered the safest and most economical mode of transport. But in Bangladesh, transport owners even went on strike to close the railway route.

Earlier, during Eid, passengers had to wait for a long time at Mawa and Daulatdia ferry terminals. With the opening of the Padma Bridge, the Mawa ferry has been discontinued. There is a crowd of passengers at the Daulatdia ferry terminal, but the crowd is much less than before. In this regard, the Padma Bridge has given great relief to the people of the south and south-west. Barishal can be reached in three hours and Khulna in five hours.
