Under this arrangement, special water vessels will start operating from Basila and Shimulia tourist ghats in the capital from March 17, a press release from the ministry said.

Special ships will operate on designated routes to manage the pressure of Eid holidaymakers and ensure their comfortable travel.

Water vessels will run on Shimulia-Demra-Narayanganj-Chandpur-Kaliganj-Hijla-Barishal route from Shimulia Tourist Ghat adjacent to Kanchan Bridge.

At the same time, ships will run on the Basila-Sadarghat-Munshiganj-Chandpur-Idga Ferry Ghat, Shariatpur-Illisha-Hakimuddin-Golachipa route from the Basila Launch Ghat adjacent to the Basila Bridge in the capital.
