Eight policemen including two sub-inspectors were closed today due to negligence of duty in saving the six students, who were lynched in presence of them at Aminbazar, Savar on July 18.
The closed policemen are: Sub Inspectors Hares Shikder and Anwar Hossain, Constables Habibur Rahman, Nazmul Hossain, Sohel Mia, Saidur Rahman, Shaheen Mia and Khairul Islam of Savar police station.
An angry mob beat six students to death and injured another at Aminbazar, Savar, on the outskirts of the capital, on the holy night of Shab-e-Barat on July 18.
