“Grandpa, Grandpa, buy this book for me. Today I will learn Superman. Please buy it. Grandpa, I will color this picture.” Six-year-old Aritra was making a similar demand this Friday morning with several books in his hands at the children’s book stall in Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital. There was stubbornness in his request, but there was equal enthusiasm on his face.

His grandfather Amal Havildar was standing next to him. Smiling softly he said, “My grandson has started school this year. I have brought him to the book fair for the first time. His demands never end.”
