Anisa Siddiqa, who was arrested for hatching a sabotage conspiracy following her son’s Facebook status on the death of Delwar Hussain Sayeedi, has been released on bail after spending eight days in Khulna Jail.
Judge SM Ashiqur Rahman of the Khulna Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s court allowed the bail plea on Monday. Anisa Siddiqa, 60, had been denied bail twice before.
Later in the evening, Anisa Siddiqa was released from Khulna District Jail, Jailor Enamul Haque said.
Earlier on August 20, the Khalishpur police had arrested four people, including Anisa Siddika, on charges of vandalism. The other three are Rakibul Islam, Tamim Iqbal and Morshed Mamun.
