M/s A & A Traveling Bangladesh Limited, a Korean company, will establish a bag manufacturing industry in the Ishwardi Export Processing Zone (EPZ) with an investment of some US$7.55 million.
In this regard, an agreement was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/s A & A Traveling Bangladesh in the capital city Dhaka on Wednesday.
General Manager (Investment Promotion) of the BEPZA AZM Azizur Rahman and Chairman of M/s A & A Traveling Bangladesh Won Chun Cho signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations, a press statement said.
The completely foreign owned company will produce bag items at its unit and will create employment opportunity for 1338 Bangladeshi nationals.
Among others, Executive Chairman Major General ATM Shahidul Islam, Secretary Md Shawkat Nabi and General Manager (Public Relations) Mahmud Hasan and other officials were present at the agreement signing ceremony.
