According to the UNB report, a rare large Indian civet was caught from a building at Boakhali in Chattogram district on Saturday night.
Azam Khan, an employee of the local forest department, said the locally endangered civet nigar was trapped in the second floor house of Shima Tuli as it had gone there in search of food.
Later, the local people caught him and handed him over to the forest officials.
Nigar Shima said the civet has been entering his house for food for the past one week and did so again around 9.30 pm but was surrounded by a huge crowd.
Azam Khan said that the civet would soon be released in the wild.
