European Union is on of the biggest unions of the world. Outgoing Ambassador of European Union Dr Stefan Frowein today said industrial entrepreneurs of European Union (EU) are interested to invest in potential sectors of Bangladesh.
The ambassador expressed the interest when he called on Industries Minister Dilip Barua at his ministry, an official release said.
Dr Stefan stressed the need for ensuring investment friendly environment in the country. He assured the minister of extending EU assistance for flourishing democracy of Bangladesh.
Dilip Barua said a stable political environment is needed for
economic progress of the country. The present government is
working sincerely to maintain political stability in the country,
he added.
Describing Bangladesh as a good place for investment, the
minister urged EU to invest in different potential sectors,
including ship-building industry.
