The Foreign Minister said, “The EU said that it will not send a big team due to its budget crisis. Budget is a problem for every country nowadays. Therefore the EU will send a representative from seven members. We will not need to spend for his travel.”
However, the minister said the EU team will visit various districts of the country and the government will bear the expenses of those visits.
The Election Commission (EC) said on Thursday that the EU would send a four-member team of observers. The EU had sent a letter to the Bangladesh Ambassador in Brussels in this regard.
