The finance minister made the request during a meeting with Axel van Trotsenberg, Managing Director (Operations), World Bank, at a city hotel on Saturday, said a press release from the finance ministry.
Describing the World Bank as one of Bangladesh’s key development partners, Kamal urged the Washington-based lending agency to extend support in Bangladesh’s education, health, electricity, disaster management and various development projects, especially in the form of budget support during the pandemic.
