In response to a question, the Foreign Minister said, “I don’t think we will sign a new agreement with any country.” Media reports have said that the US will sign two agreements, but this is incorrect. We are an independent country and we have a position, and it may trouble many others, but we stand by the principle. We are maintaining a non-aligned and balanced foreign policy.

Regarding the agreement with America, Abdul Momen said, “If you buy any equipment from America, then you have to disclose its location, as well as tell whether there is any equipment from other countries at that place or not.” The bigger problem is that you bought the equipment, but you have to get permission from them before you can use it. So, I don’t know whether you will sign an agreement amid so many obligations.”
