According to FIFA, the decisions were taken following separate hearings and careful analysis of, in each applicable proceeding, both the evidence presented before the Judicial Chamber and the evidence collected during the investigations carried out by the Investigative Chamber.
The Adjudication Chamber was fully satisfied that particular persons were involved in and/or participated in a number of transactions supported with false and/or fraudulent documents, which were paid, or expected to be paid, from FIFA funds , it was noted.
Earlier in 2023, FIFA imposed a two-year ban and financial penalty on BFF secretary general Abu Naim Shohag for falsifying documents. However, it did not pass any judgement on Abdus Salam Murshedi.
