According to Canadian media, McSween told reporters, “After officers arrived, they were met … with a horrific scene where several victims were killed.”
Police were investigating motive and whether there was any connection between the victims and the male suspect, who has not been named. The suspect reportedly acted alone.
The victims were found in separate apartments in the building, which is located in the suburbs of Vaughan, about 30 kilometers (20 mi) north of Toronto.
