Balmain bucked the colorless trend with a dazzling and exuberant show that it managed to pull together despite a dramatic robbery—dozens of its outfits had been stolen on the way from the airport just 10 days earlier.

There were lots of roses. One woman appears to be lost in a full red bush, another has golden wings with roses at the ends, and rose-printed tops, dresses and mini-skirts.

There were also some ultra-bling, glittering floral arrangements that bordered on haute couture extravagance. “Floral for spring? Unprecedented…” designer Olivier Rousteing wrote on Instagram with obvious sarcasm.
