Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe in a warm up match in Sri Lanka today. Bangladesh won the toss and send Zimbabwe to bat. Zimbabwe scored 134 runs in their stipulated twenty overs. It was the Bangladeshi spinners who contained the Zimbabwean batsmen. Abdur Razzak got two wickets for twenty one runs.
Bating second chasing the target of 135 Bangladesh was in trouble from the beginning. They lost their first wicket when the score was only eleven.
Later experienced Mohammad Ashraful and Shakib Al Hasan took Bangladesh to a strong position. Ashraful scored 38 with three sixes. Later Bangladesh was in trouble again when they lost wicket of Mushfiqur Rahim and Nasir Hossain quickly. At the end sensible bating by Mahmudullah and Ziaur Rahman brought easy victory for Bangladesh.
Bangladesh will play their next warm up match against Ireland on 17 September and they will play their first match of T20 world cup on the 21nd September.
