Food factories sealed for unhygienic condition.

Yesterday Rapid action battalion (RAB) mobile court visited three food factories in the city

and sealed to of them. The mobile court found that all the factories were producing in very

unhygienic conditions. Ibn Sena food industries and Islamic pharmaceuticals were fined and

sealed by magistrate AHM Anwar Pasha. He said, they found that Ibn Sena food industries were

producing soap and vermicelli in same place, chemicals and foods should be kept separately.

Islamic pharmaceuticals were only packaging water but they don’t have any purification

plant.

Both of these factories were fined taka three lakh.

In Jatrabari, Ivana foods ltd. was producing glucose on the floor in an unhygienic

condition. They were fined three times before in the same year and in the last visit it was

sealed but they started production amid the high demand in the month of holy Ramadan. The

magistrate ordered to file a case under special power act against the owner because he is

doing the same crime repeatedly, where death sentence is possible if convicted.
