foreign exchange reserves crossed $ 30 billion | prothom aloe

The country’s foreign exchange reserves declined from $30.98 billion to $29.8 billion on Monday after paying $1.18 billion to the ACU.

The country’s reserves swelled during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic as migrant workers started remitting their income through legal channels. As a result, the reserves reached a record $48 billion in August 2021.

But in February 2022, the amount began to decline due to rising grain and fuel oil prices due to the outbreak of war between Russia and Ukraine. But remittance and export earnings did not increase.
