The Palestinian territory’s Hamas-controlled health ministry said on Saturday that at least 2,215 people, including 724 children, have been killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since a Hamas attack on southern Israel a week ago.
The ministry said that about 458 women were among those killed. It said 8,714 people were also injured, adding to an earlier statement that at least 324 people had died in the past 24 hours alone.
