“It is necessary to clarify a lot of political, legal, military and technical aspects. It is quite difficult. It has not yet been decided whether the federal government will supply Taurus cruise missiles or not,” he said.
Furthermore, he said that another aspect of the Taurus supply that needs to be looked at is whether such missiles can be used without Bundeswehr troops on the ground or remotely from Germany, according to TASS.
Earlier, in a video address to the Crimean Platform Forum on August 23, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said Germany had provided more than 22 billion euros in aid, ranging from dozens of units and generators to tanks and air defense systems.
He said Berlin would continue its assistance to Ukraine “as long as necessary”.
It is noteworthy that Germany ranks second after the United States in terms of supplying arms to Ukraine.
