Sensing the presence of law enforcers, two smugglers on a motorcycle fled leaving behind two bags and the BGB team recovered gold bars worth Tk 1.5 crore from the bags, Tanveer Ahmed said.
He said that efforts are being made to nab both the smugglers.
A case has been registered in this regard at Sharsa police station.
