The Ministry of External Affairs said, “We firmly believe that conflict never brings permanent solutions; rather, peaceful resolution of disputes is possible only through dialogue, mutual respect and commitment to international law.” Bangladesh has called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint, avoid further escalation of tensions and immediately strengthen diplomatic efforts.
The statement said Bangladesh reaffirms its principled and consistent position in favor of peace, stability and security in the Middle East and calls on the international community to intensify efforts to restore peace and create a conducive environment for dialogue.
It is noteworthy that on Saturday morning America and Israel carried out joint attacks in Iran. In response, Iran launched missile and drone attacks targeting US military installations in various Middle Eastern countries in addition to Israel.
