He said the Armed Forces Division (AFD) is cooperating with the government by providing transport facilities to take the people to the shelter sites.
“Police will help people reach the shelters. Army, Navy, BGB, Ansar and Coast Guard will also be ready to provide any assistance,” he said.
He hoped that through the initiatives taken by the government, it would be able to avoid any major damage or loss of property.
Cabinet Secretary Mohd Mehboob Hussain and Secretary, Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief Mohd Kamrul Hasan were also present at the Secretariat along with the Minister of State.
