The central bank did not name the banks but appointed coordinators at National Bank, AB Bank, One Bank, Padma Bank and Bangladesh Commerce Bank after meetings between the banks and officials of the Roof.
Now the central bank will determine the measures for the basic bank once the action plan is presented.
A senior official of the central bank said on the condition of anonymity that the process of appointing a coordinator in the basic bank is in the final stages.
Basic Bank is now trying to turn around after almost sinking due to loan scams during the tenure of former Jatiya Party MP Sheikh Abdul Hai Bachchu as chairman.
