Govt working to ensure education for all: Nahid

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid Tuesday categorically said that the incumbent Awami League-led grand-alliance government is working hard for ensuring education for all.

“The incumbent government is working to create an atmosphere congenial to ensuring education for all,” he said.

The education minister came up with such assertion while addressing a rally after laying the foundation stone of a new academic building of Charkhai High School of Biyanibazar here.

Addressing the ceremony, the education minister also said that the government has also been working for meeting the long-cherished desire of the nation by trying the war criminals.

Expressing his hope the minister said that the new generation would be able to push the country forward through their encouraging patriotism and moral values after attaining proper education.

“For this reason, a radical change has been brought in the education system by formulating a new education policy,” he said.

Terming the teachers the architect of building the human resources he said, “The incumbent government has increased the pay-scale of the teachers community and taken other steps so that they can easily get pensions.”

The function was also addressed, among others, by acting chairman of the upazila Ruma Chakraborty, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Subrato Kumar Dey and Awami League leader Haji Abdul Hasib Monia with president of the governing body of the school Advocate Ruhul Anam Chowdhury Nantu in the chair.
