Startup Bangladesh Limited is working as a strategic partner with GP Accelerator to strengthen and drive this initiative at the regional level.
Minister of State for ICT Division Junaid Ahmed Palak attended the program as the chief guest. Sami Ahmed, Managing Director and CEO of Startup Bangladesh Limited, Yasir Azman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Grameenphone and senior officials of both the organizations were also present at the ceremony.
The “Jele Jele Smart Udokta” initiative aims to promote entrepreneurship to address regional challenges and create local innovative solutions. The program will feature 30 community builders and pitch sessions will be held across 20 locations with the goal of identifying and rewarding the top 20 idea entrepreneurs.
The initiative is specifically targeted at university students and potential entrepreneurs who are passionate about innovation through startups, providing them with valuable skills, mentorship, networking opportunities and funding support. This effort is in line with Bangladesh’s goal of becoming a smart nation by leveraging its youth demographic potential.
