Research proposals will be invited by 31st July each year, with the deadline for submission being 31st October. The proposals will be evaluated and the final selection will be completed by December 31.
A dedicated fund will be established to support the programme, financed through the Annual Development Program (ADP), revenue budget or development partners.
A 10-member committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Additional Secretary (Planning and Development) of the Ministry to monitor this initiative.
The committee will invite and review proposals, make preliminary selections and recommend candidates. Final approval will be given by the Secretary of the Ministry.
The selected researchers will have to complete their work within the stipulated time limit and submit the report. The Ministry will monitor the progress regularly. The findings are expected to be published in books, reports or other formats for preservation and public dissemination.
