Hasina asks voters to choose ‘dignity’ under Awami League or ‘tyranny’ under BNP-Jamaat

The prime minister said that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had banned Pakistani army collaborators from Bangladesh politics.

But Ziaur Rehman, the founder of BNP, rehabilitated the Jamaat after grabbing power after the assassination of the Father of the Nation.

“After rehabilitation, they [Jamaat] Resumed the politics of killings and terrorism.”

Hasina said that the BNP was also involved in the killings. He alleged that Jia was directly involved in the assassination of Bangabandhu.

The prime minister said the BNP founder was also involved in the killings of thousands of members of the armed forces in order to maintain his rule.

Hasina alleged that after Zia’s wife Khaleda Zia came to power, militants formed groups in Bangladesh with the direct support of the BNP.

He said that the BNP leadership carried out a grenade attack on him on August 21, 2004 and killed 22 Awami League leaders and workers.

According to Hasina, the party carried out arson on public transport from 2013 to 2015, killing hundreds of innocent people.

“his president [Khaleda] One is guilty of embezzling orphanage money. another top leader [Khaleda’s son Tarique Rahman] Convicted in 10-truck arms smuggling and August 21 grenade attack cases. Why would people vote for him?”
