According to the written complaint given to the EC, the US State Department had issued a passport for 10 years to Parveen Haq Sikdar on April 7 in 2014. Passport expiry date is 6th April this year. Hiding this information, the US citizen submitted nomination papers for the reserved seat for women in the 11th Parliament in 2019. Parveen Haq Sikdar has not renounced her US citizenship; He also took oath as an MP in 2019, violating Article 66 of the Constitution. They obtained the facilities by “deliberately defrauding the state”, as a result, funds from the state treasury were misappropriated.
