Professor Rehmat Ullah paid tribute to Khandakar Mushtaq in a discussion on April 17, 2022, Mujibnagar Day in the university. Later, the university authorities suspended him from all academic and administrative duties.
As soon as Professor Rehmat Ullah filed a writ in the High Court, it stayed the DU decision. The Supreme Court Appellate Division also upheld the order and asked the High Court to hear the rules issued in this regard at the earliest.
The High Court today ordered after hearing on that rule.
