High prices of sugar, pearls, lemons, pulses and dates affect the cost of Iftar

Demand for sugar, dates, soybean oil, chickpeas and various types of pulses used in preparing Iftar ingredients increased during Ramzan, but due to increase in the prices of sugar and edible oil compared to last year, most of the commodities are in short supply this year. The prices are high.

Prices of dates, gram and pulses also increased ahead of Ramzan, while prices of onions, brinjals, cucumbers and lemons are also high and exotic fruits have already become unaffordable. As a result, this year people will struggle to arrange for things like this.
