Hong Kong leader John Lee on Thursday unveiled a promotional campaign that will include 500,000 free flights to draw visitors, businesses and investors back to the financial hub after more than three years of tough COVID-19 restrictions.
The “Hello Hong Kong” campaign began in the city’s main convention center next to its famous harbor with dancers and flashing neon lights, against which the slogan was chanted in various languages, including Russian and Spanish.
Li, speaking in English, said the campaign would show the city is open to tourism and was aimed at promoting trade and investment in the Chinese special administrative region.
