Plans for an 80-room hotel located near the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium site in Liverpool are set to go before the city council’s planning committee next week. The Liverpool City Council is scheduled to decide

on the proposal on October 22, 2024. This development comes as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the infrastructure surrounding the upcoming stadium for Everton FC, which is expected to be operational by August 2025.
The architectural firm Atelier 2 Architecture is both the agent and designer of the project, with Rohan Hughes identified as the applicant. The proposed hotel aims to not only provide accommodation for visitors but also to complement the facilities of the new stadium.
Project Overview
The project involves the conversion of the grade II-listed 15-17 Fulton Street mill and the construction of a new five-story building facing south along the A5054. The hotel will feature a total of 80 bedrooms, with 32 located within the converted mill and 48 in the newly constructed building.
Plans for the hotel include:
- First to Third Floors: Reserved for hotel rooms in the mill conversion.
- First to Fifth Floors: Dedicated to guest accommodations in the new build.
- Ancillary Servicing Space: Allocated for operational needs related to hotel services.
The hotel’s basement will house a spa, complete with treatment rooms and a pool, aiming to provide guests with relaxation options during their stay. Additionally, the ground floor is designed to include bar and restaurant facilities, along with back and front-of-house services to enhance the guest experience.
Parking and Community Contributions
To support local infrastructure and transportation needs, the project includes a legal agreement requiring the applicant to contribute:
- £25,000 for a Car Parking Survey: This will help assess current parking demand and identify future needs.
- £25,000 for an Active Travel Survey: Aiming to promote sustainable transportation options in the area.
The hotel will also offer seven dedicated parking spaces for guests, contributing to the overall accessibility of the venue.
Community Engagement and Future Updates
As part of the development process, Everton FC is expected to provide updates during the Liverpool City Region Development Update next month, allowing stakeholders and the community to learn more about the project and its anticipated benefits.
The project team comprises several key partners, including ERAP, West Coast Geomatics, and AMNI Transportation, each bringing expertise to ensure the project meets local standards and community expectations.
